See an Arkansas-licensed MD or DO
First-time physician certification is typically in person.

Receive the written certification
Typically valid 30 days from signature. Old forms cannot be reused for renewal.

Apply at the ADH portal
File at mmj.adh.arkansas.gov. AMMSys is retired.

Pay the $50 state fee
Debit or credit online (no AmEx). Non-refundable.

Print or receive your card
Up to 14 days. ADH issues no temporary card.

ADH will not accept write-in conditions. Anxiety, insomnia, and migraines are not on the list. Military and Guard members cannot hold a card.
